Copthorne Hotel Birmingham

The location of the Copthorne is fantastic, just a short walk to Symphony Hall and the Christmas market. The hotel lobby and bar feel cute and decent. You can tell they were recently updated. I booked a Club Room, hoping for something special. The room, however, felt outdated and needed a refresh. The decor was tired, and I noticed some makeshift repairs in the bathroom that weren't encouraging. The bed sagged a bit. After entering, I found the room cold and struggled with the thermostat. It didn't clearly indicate how to adjust it, leading to an overly warm evening. There's a significant building project right outside, made it hard to relax. On the plus side, I enjoyed the breakfast. Great variety and everything was fresh, a definite highlight. The staff at breakfast were attentive. Unfortunately, my experience with room service was disappointing. I waited too long for simple items, crucial after a long day out. I appreciated the complimentary drinks vouchers for Club Room guests, a nice touch. The hotel has great potential with its location and some good staff, but it really needs to address cleanliness and the room conditions for a better experience.

Nicely appointed place, easy going staff on the reception desk. Marvellous, magnificent location in Birmingham, short walk to the main pedestrian area, eg pubs and Edgbaston. Nearby All Bar One - great place to chill out.

Favourable and perfect location, close to Big Brum, greatly enjoyed it. I was there for 1 night and ate at in-house restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

This accommodation had a very central setting near to symphony hall where we attended a concert. I enjoyed the standard queen room which was airy. The service was excellent, I had 2 very comfortable nights here.

The room was okay but felt really dated. No air conditioning made it tough, especially with the noise from the road when the window had to be open. The beds were comfy enough, but the decor and curtains looked tired. Light bulbs weren't working, and there was some mould in the bathroom. Just a bit of a letdown for a supposed 4-star place.

The location of the hotel is ideal to walking in the town centre. The staff were very approachable and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will recommend it to others.

I guess the only thing I did not like was the carpet in the room. I think it needed modernizing. The sofa needs to be cleaned also.

The breakfast was of good standard with many options. The bar area was comfortable. The check-in process was fast with a polite receptionist.

The room was dated and lacked air conditioning. Noise from the main road was an issue since the window needed to be open to cool down.

Breakfast and room as well as price/performance ratio are quite okay. Not only for badminton fans (YONEX All England Open) highly recommended.
